Experience France's Most Beautiful Villages
Discover the rich heritage of the Lot Valley and Quercy region, where medieval clifftop fortresses and Renaissance architecture meet the timeless landscapes of Occitanie. Whether you are tracing the footsteps of Françoise Sagan in Cajarc or marveling at the Romanesque treasures of Conques, let Mas de Garrigue be your base for an authentic journey through French history and culture.
Taste the Wines of Cahors
Mas de Garrigue is perfectly positioned to explore the historic vineyards of Cahors, the birthplace of the bold Malbec grape, locally known as Côt or Auxerrois. Unlike its Argentinian cousins, the Malbecs of Cahors are celebrated for their deep "black wine" hue, sophisticated tannins and notes of plum and tobacco. For an unforgettable tasting journey, we highly recommend visiting Chateau de Mercuès, where the wines age in a spectacular underground cellar beneath a fairytale castle.
For a more contemporary and organic approach, Château du Cèdre produces some of the most prestigious and elegant wines in the region, while Château de Chambert offers biodynamic wines from an estate dating back to the 17th century.
