About Us

Our Journey to the Lot Valley

Growing up, Laure spent summers amid the rugged limestone landscapes and medieval villages of the Lot valley. Her deep connection to the land and its culinary traditions lies at the heart of life at Mas de Garrigue. Toby, a lifelong francophile, grew up on farms in Australia and has always felt drawn to rural living.

Together, they chose to leave city life behind and return to the countryside in search of a quieter, more meaningful way of living, one rooted in nature, good food, and time well spent.

At Mas de Garrigue, they garden, cook, and live with the rhythm of the seasons, taking inspiration from local markets and simple pleasures, and inviting guests to slow down, reconnect, and savour what truly matters.

The Perfect Location to Explore the Quercy Region

Mas de Garrigue boutique B&B is ideally located near the clifftop village of Calvignac, just 15 minutes from the famous medieval "hanging village" of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. We are an easy 90-minute drive from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport and 45 minutes from the vineyards of Cahors. .

That makes us the ideal base for exploring the Quercy region, especially the untouched Lot and Célé valleys. With its abundance of historic castles, medieval villages, bustling markets and rugged beauty, our valley offers a tranquil, authentic alternative to the busier tourist hubs of the Dordogne.
